Let’s Talk Spring/Summer Trends

After recently buying a massive Vogue magazine at Barnes and Noble that contained every runway show from S/S21 I knew that I had to discuss the trends. Some I loved, some I hated and some I’m very much on the fence about. There’s a lot to see so let’s dive right in!

THE FISHNET TREND

I find the fishnet trend very cute and can really visualize it being big in the spring and summer with the average person. Of course, it’s hard to picture anyone other than a celebrity on a red carpet wearing something like the Hermès look pictured above but it is STUNNING nonetheless.

THE SPORTY COLLEGE LOOK

This is definitely my most favorite trend from the Spring/Summer21 collections. I call it the college look because it reminds me of the style that was very in at my university. It’s a comfortable look that can take you anywhere. It’s layering with a beautiful fit jacket. I simply can’t get enough of it.

MINI BAGS

Okay, this trend is one I am most definitely on the fence about. They’re very cute but they’re so superfluous. I feel as though they’re less about fashion and more of a show of money. “I have this item with no purpose but it’s Chanel so it’s okay.” I don’t know….what do you y’all think?

DRAPEY SHITE

Do you like my very professional name for this trend? It’s such a lovely look with drapey fabric that is mostly sheer. It’s very feminine and I love how the look is usually monochrome.
